The landscapes in this book both honor and subvert the tradition of western landscape photography, conveying the bleak splendor of the land through Terry Falke's unique lens, at once gorgeous, sardonic, and playful. Shot with a large-format camera, Falke's work emphasizes beauty and incongruity, and is as much about human nature as it is about the land itself.
