Fighting addictions in children is a process that starts at an early age. Various addictions such as technology, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and game addictions can negatively affect children's mental, physical, and emotional development. Therefore, families, teachers, and society need to act consciously in order for children to fight addiction. In this case, establishing healthy communication with children is the first step in fighting addictions. At this point, healthy communication, which is one of the most important tools that strengthens the fight against addiction, makes it easier to better understand children's emotional and psychological worlds, guide them, and support them in fighting addiction. Good communication allows children to express themselves and allows families, teachers, or caregivers to monitor children more closely. In this way, possible addiction symptoms can be detected at an early stage and appropriate support can be provided. Thus, effective communication can make a significant contribution to their growth as healthy individuals.
