System Error is an experimental publication that merges an artist book with an edited textbook on the artist. The artist book works as a collage of the current sociopolitical issues that the artist processes by revisiting some of his older body of works. It also demonstrates a connection between Ali Cabbar’s critical stance and social media by navigating through his objects, drawings, installations, and concepts. On the other hand, the textbook Typo, edited by Başak Şenova, presents diverse approaches and readings of Cabbar’s work and methodology with texts written in different styles and tones. The two books together offer the reader different routes of readings by perusing Cabbar’s recent artistic research and practice. 144 pages, 21 x 27 cm. paperback
