The purpose of this specially designed book is to contribute to English language learning for individuals who are both students in Military Schools and officers serving in the Army. As TARGET carefully considers the learning needs of the target learner profiles and is hence equipped with meaningful task-based activities prepared utilizing authentic materials, it serves a good course-book for classroom use. TARGET also aims at being an appropriate learning aid for individual training as it includes a range of different language learning activities oriented to practice all four English language skills (i.e. reading, listening, writing, speaking). In the view of the grammar knowledge intertwined with the units’ topics related to Military and the various language skills activities, TARGET aims at not only teaching English, but also helping its users to build great specialist knowledge in the field of Military.
