This translation is a plain literal one. For we aimed toaddress at the average English knowing reader to understand themeaning of the Qur’an, our essential methodology has beensimplicity and clarity in the exposition. Hence possible endeavorhas been allocated to find simple and plain befitting andequivalent vocabularies, and no brackets have been used and nocommentary has been adopted either. Alongside the conveyanceof the meaning, the linguistic and phrasal structure, the syntax,the lucidity, the fluency, the eloquence, and the soothing andpleasing emotional character of the Qur’an have also been strivedto be transmitted.My pray is to obtain Allah’s pardoning for any, obviously,unintentional mistakes. And my thanks also are for Him for Hegranted me the education, the time and the health fort thecompletion of this manuscript which took me several decades.
