For Nejat Göyünç...I write these lines not only to express my appreciation of Nejat Göyünç's distinguished scholarly achievements, but also the profound grief I feel for the loss of a dear, close friend. Nejat was one of those people who are attached to their friends with an absolute sincerity, unselfishness and varmıth.
